About MyMathTutor

MyMathTutor is a curriculum-aligned math practice platform built for students in grades 6, 7, and 8 — the middle school math sequence covering pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and number sense.

What it is

A focused practice environment for the topics in the middle school math curriculum. Students pick a topic, work problems, and get scaffolded prompts when they're stuck. The site tracks mastery topic by topic so students, parents, and teachers can see at a glance what's solid and what needs more practice.

What it isn't

It is not a homework answer engine. It is not a math game site. It is not a generic chat tool. The whole design philosophy is that students learn math by working math — so prompts come before answers, and worked steps are kept in reserve until a student has tried.

Who built it

MyMathTutor was built and is maintained by Eärrámë LLC. The project was started by a parent of three middle-school-aged children who needed a structured way to keep practice grounded in the actual curriculum, without resorting to game-style sites or homework solvers. It is run as a small, family-focused project.

The middle school math curriculum

• Grade 6 — Ratios and Proportional Relationships: Ratios, unit rates, percents, decimal operations, fraction division, area and volume of basic shapes.
• Grade 7 — The Number System & Expressions and Equations: Integer operations, rational numbers, linear expressions, two-step equations and inequalities, scale drawings, angle relationships, surface area.
• Grade 8 — Functions, Equations, and Geometry: Linear functions, systems of equations, transformations, congruence and similarity, the Pythagorean theorem, volume of cylinders and cones.
